A gift to HCCF through your estate or financial plans can make a difference in Hendricks County long into the future. It can support a particular organization or cause that matters to you, respond to changing community needs, or do a little of both.
And a planned gift doesn’t have to be complicated. Some of the most meaningful gifts HCCF receives come through a simple provision in a will or trust, or by naming HCCF or one of our funds as a beneficiary of a retirement account, investment account, or life insurance policy.

A planned gift gives you the opportunity to think about what you want your generosity to accomplish beyond your lifetime.
You might choose to:
- Support a favorite charitable organization for generations to come.
- Create a permanent fund for an area or cause you care about.
- Give HCCF flexibility to respond to Hendricks County’s most important needs and opportunities in the future.
- Add to an existing HCCF fund that reflects your interests.
- Create a permanent charitable fund in honor or memory of your family or someone important to you.

Ways to Make a Planned Gift
There are many ways to include charitable giving in your long-term plans. Some of the most common include:
A gift through your will or trust. You can leave a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, particular assets, or all or part of the remainder of your estate to HCCF or an HCCF fund.
A beneficiary designation. HCCF or one of our funds can be named as a beneficiary of an IRA or other retirement account, investment or bank account, or life insurance policy.
A gift that provides income. Certain charitable arrangements can provide income to you or others during your lifetime while ultimately benefiting the charitable purposes you choose.
Other assets. Depending on your circumstances, real estate, closely held business interests, securities, and other assets may also be part of a charitable estate plan.
Some planned gifts can also provide tax or financial benefits. Because every situation is different, we encourage donors to work with their attorney, tax advisor, or financial advisor when making these decisions.
